MODEL BUILDING TIPS

This model will require more than one sitting to build it. We advise to pause between different stages as you work, especially when you come to gluing. The white glue softens the paper and it may lead to misshapen parts if you do not allow them to dry well before proceeding further with assembling. Click here to watch our paper model building tips.

ABOUT THIS LANDMARK

Freemasons' Hall in London, an architectural jewel nestled in the heart of the city's Covent Garden area, is a prime example of the Art Deco style. Constructed between 1927 and 1933 as a memorial to the Freemasons who died in the First World War, the building is the headquarters of the United Grand Lodge of England.

Designed by architects Henry Victor Ashley and F. Winton Newman, Freemasons' Hall is renowned for its Art Deco interior and exterior. The building's façade, with its grandiose stonework and symmetrical design, exudes the elegance and opulence characteristic of the Art Deco era. Inside, the Hall boasts lavish decorative schemes, including beautifully crafted mosaics, stained glass, and intricate wood and stone carvings, all embodying the geometric and stylized motifs typical of Art Deco design.
